Tim Meadows, Jameela Jamil and More Added to Rian Johnson Series

Detective Benoit Blanc receives a lot of attention. But Rian Johnson also has another murder mystery project in the works: Poker face.

Johnson is the creator, writer and director of the series, which will air on Peacock. The previously announced streamer Natacha Lyonne would play. Today, Variety revealed five other cast members. Join Lyonne are Tim Meadows (SNL, The Goldbergs), Jameela Jamil (The Good Place, She-Hulk), Nicholas Cirillo (External banks), Audrey Corsa (All stand up), and Niall Cunningham (And just like that).

Previously announced cast members include Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Benjamin Bratt, Stephanie Hsu and David Castañeda.

Specifics on Poker face are kept secret. However, it appears to have a procedural format where Lyonne’s character will be working to solve a different murder in each episode. Peacock ordered a 10-episode first season in March.

“Rian Johnson’s distinct sensitivity and knack for telling mysteries at the edge of your seat is a tremendous gift to Peacock, and we can’t wait for audiences to consider each case,” said Lisa Katz, President of Scripted Content at NBCUniversal when the series was announced. “Combined with the acting genius of Natasha Lyonne, this series will be entertaining and addictive.”

Johnson and Lyonne are both executive producers of the series. Nora and Lilla Zuckerman are executive producers and co-showrunners. Other executive producers include Animal Pictures’ Maya Rudolph and Danielle Renfrew Behrens, and T-Street’s Ram Bergman and Nena Rodrigue.
