PokerStars PA rebounds from record high

PokerStars PA rebounded from its worst month yet. The Flutter brand, which operates in Pennsylvania through Mount Airy Casino’s land-based casino license, brought in $1.6 million in July, up 1.1% from June.

The operator was down 17.3% year-over-year ($2 million), but that’s more than likely as July 2021 was the first month it saw competition from three other venues online poker – BetMGM Poker PA, Borgata Poker PA and WSOP PA, which had only been online for about half the month.

Despite the rebound, PokerStars’ market share slipped to 59.2%, its lowest level since February (56.9%). January remains the operator’s best month for revenue in 2022 at $2.2 million.

Year-to-date revenue totaled $12.6 million, which equates to a market share of 61.2%.

WSOP Keep on climbing

The WSOP, licensed by Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino, brought in $744,000 in revenue in July, a 7.5% increase from June ($692,000).

Revenue at the state’s newest online poker room more than tripled from the same month a year ago ($242,000), but that number is a bit misleading since the operator was only launched only in the middle of the month. A better picture of how WSOP is doing in the Keystone State will be available next month — when we can do a year-over-year comparison using an entire month of earnings data.

So far, the best WSOP earning month in 2022 has been March ($919,000). The brand, owned by Caesars, brought in $5.5 million in 2022, or 26.9% of the market.
