Tournament schedules
There’s no respite for players who have spent much of their summer playing the World Series of Poker. Simply put, there are plenty of poker tournament opportunities across the country in August.
Here are a few that stand out.

Starting today is the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO), a series of 45 events that runs until August 9th. interval.
And because events at the Seminole Hard Rock always attract big pitches, the casino is able to offer big guarantees. For example, today’s starting event, a $400 Deepstack with seven starting flights, has a guaranteed $1 million with more than 640 participations already collected.
The series is capped off with several high roller events, including a $25,000 PLO event on Sunday August 3, a $50,000 super high roller event on Monday August 4, and the $5,300 Guaranteed Championship event and $3 million. Tuesday, August 5.
This SHRPO also offers many different forms of play, such as today’s $400 Big O event, tomorrow’s $600 Omaha 8-or-Better event, and the weekly $1,100 HORSE event. next (August 4).

The World Poker Tour is heading to the bike
The WPT Legends of Poker Series at the Bicycle Club in Los Angeles began Monday and will run through September 1.
The the program is loaded with a varied number of tournaments, such as the $400 Omaha 8-or-Better event on Saturday, July 30 and the $400 Big O event on Tuesday, August 9. Most days there are two tournaments scheduled and the buy-ins are mostly in the $360-$600 range.
The bigger buy-in events start on Monday, August 22, with guaranteed $1,100 and $500,000. The WPT’s $5,250 event begins Saturday, August 27. The final table of the $2.5 million guaranteed tournament will be filmed for broadcast.
A $10,000 event begins Tuesday, August 30 and a $2,200 No-Limit Hold’em Survivor event begins August 31.
The WPT name is also associated with a $1,700 event in Cambodia on Thursday, August 18, as part of its “Prime” brand at the NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh.
WSOP Circuit lands in the Southeast
After the WSOP Circuit wraps up its streak at Choctaw Durant on August 1, it moves on to two other venues.
First he arrives at Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina on Thursday, August 4, with a 17-event series capped by a guaranteed $1,700 and $1 million tournament that begins on Friday, August 12. He has four consecutive departure days.
A guaranteed two-day $2,200 and $500,000 tournament begins on Sunday, August 14, although most events are in the lower buy-in range of $400 and $600. The $250 women’s event takes place on Friday, August 12. It has a $10,000 guarantee.
Starting Wednesday, August 17, the WSOP Circuit comes to the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a program of 16 events.
The $1,700 headliner begins Friday, August 26. He also has four consecutive departure days. The $250 Ladies event is Tuesday. August 23.
This stop on the WSOP Circuit in Tulsa does not offer any guaranteed prize pool.
Venetian and Wynn turn up the heat in Vegas
Two fun series are scheduled for Las Vegas in August.
From Monday August 1, the Deepstack showdown at the Venetian takes place until August 29.
The series of 48 events features a hearty schedule of tournaments with buy-ins of $300, $400 and $600. There are guaranteed $200,000 tournaments taking place on August 4 and 11. Both cost $600. A $400 $250,000 guarantee event begins on August 16.
Just up the Strip, the Wynn Signature Series begins Thursday, August 18 with a $400 senior event with a $40,000 guarantee.
A $100,000 event begins on Monday, August 22, while a $400,000 mystery bounty follows on Wednesday, August 24. A $500,000 guarantee with three departure flights begins Monday, August 29.
A satellite for the $10,400 WPT World Championship scheduled for December 12 will take place on Monday, September 5. It costs $1,100 and guarantees 10 seats.
